National League, Community Club of the Year 2007

Disappointing news this week when Dewsbury cancelled the U21 friendly that was due to be played this evening at ‘The Chris Moyles Stadium’. Coach Brian Kellett and the players were bitterly disappointed, there are many new faces in the 21’s this year following strenuous ongoing efforts to strengthen during the closed season with some lads already featuring in the 1st team friendlies. It now looks like the first friendly fixture will take place on Thursday 13th March against Oldham, again at Post Office Road and then possibly an away game at Featherstone Lions the week after. Details will be confirmed via the newsletter and of course the official Club Website. Below is the scheduled league fixtures for the U21’s, should be a few good Thursday nights to enjoy.

Tuesday afternoon was another one of those great times at the club when we were treated to the company of Melbourne Storm and Hull FC. Following the training session doors were opened for the kids and media, all of whom were treat well by the players with many people getting a photo or autograph for their collections. Both clubs donated signed shirts to us and signed a range of our merchandise which will help boost coffers at forthcoming events! Put your bid in now!
