National League, Community Club of the Year 2007

What a week in store. The shop as always will be open on Saturday morning between 10am – 12 noon replenished with the 2008 home shirt (XXL size is out of stock at the moment). Stock will also be available from Shindigz in Pontefract which has proven to be a great expansion for the club over the last few months. Whether you want Rovers merchandise or not, why not pop in at Shindigz for a look round and see what else they have to offer.

 

On Wednesday, the 16th January we welcome back our Wednesday Band Nights with a fantastic up and coming band ‘New Vinyl’ taking to the stage once again. New Vinyl appeared in The Atrium last year as one of our first live bands and rank amongst one of the best we have seen so far. New Vinyl will be accompanied by a support band and are returning to The Atrium following the production of a movie soundtrack to be released later this year! You could be one of the first to see them live before tickets become a tout’s favourite!

 

You may wish to arrive a little early on Wednesday night, the lads will be in training for Sunday and the visit of Blackpool and you may get an inkling to the line-up by taking a bird’s eye view from ‘The Gallery’. Whilst the younger lads have performed exceptionally well in our two opening friendlies with several staking a claim for regular first team action there are many players yet to get some minutes under their belts and you can be sure of a stronger side for this fixture, hopefully the Flu outbreak is well under control now and some of our old favourites can don the new shirt!

 

In between training and the Live Bands we will be opening the Club Shop for sales of the new 2008 Away Shirt shown here once again first to newsletter subscribers! (Apologies for the picture quality)

 

 

In the last newsletter we asked you to register your interest and those people who responded will be guaranteed a shirt if they so require. Numbers are limited, so if you want to follow the lad’s home and away make sure you come a long on Wednesday. It will be well worth a visit as not only will you be able to see the Away shirt you will also be able to view other new clothing lines including T-Shirts, Track Suits and an all Weather Jacket not yet seen! Other clothing lines that were exhausted over Xmas and at the Home Shirt launch will be back in stock and available in all sizes. Due to the relatively small order placed for Away Shirts, we regret that we have not been able to stock the two extreme sizes, being the Small Youth or the Double Extra Large. Efforts are being made to acquire some Double Extra Large as soon as possible but volume restraints may proof impossible for us.    

 

Before Xmas we advised that on March 15th we would be playing host in The Atrium to ‘The Grumbleweeds’ and we are now taking reservations for the evening either at info@featherstonerovers.com or by calling the office during office hours.

 

Your What’s on Guide

Wednesday night is band night, playing live from around 8.00pm each and every Wednesday, some of the best regional up and coming talent.

Saturday 2nd February - Legends of Rock (QUEEN TRIBUTE), Tickets just £10 and can be purchased by contacting the office or Alan in the Clubhouse.

Saturday 15th March – The Grumbleweeds, top Clubhouse entertainment. Tickets are just £15 per person to include admission, buffet served to your table and late night disco.
