More success in the Community!

Study Rovers wins cash for Healthy Courses!

Study Rovers Learning Centre, part of the award winning Featherstone Rovers Community Programme, has won £1000 from the Yorkshire Evening Post/Barclays Bank Community Cash Giveaway.  Study Rovers was one of 31 groups who were awarded cash to carry out a variety of activities.  The money was won against stiff competition from a large number of other Community Groups working in the Leeds area.

Leeds Central MP Hilary Benn handed out the cheques at a presentation ceremony on Friday 7^th December at the St George’s Church Centre in Leeds.  Among those present were Nicola Megson, deputy editor of the YEP and Janette Blythe the Community Manager of Barclays Bank.

Friday 14th December 2007 – 3-Course Christmas Dinner with Top Comedian and late night disco, limited numbers available at just £15 per person.

Sunday 16th December 2007 - The Buccaneers Christmas Party, an afternoon of fun and games for all the family!

Monday 17th December 2007 – 2008 Kit Launch, watch the lads train from 6.30pm in the Sponsors Lounge followed by the official kit launch in the clubhouse from 7.30pm.

Wednesday 26^th December 2007 – Fun and games at the Jungle in the Season opener followed by drinks back at the Rovers Clubhouse.

Sunday 30th December 2007 - BARLA Yorkshire Cup Final, 2:00 p.m. Kick Off, Sharlston v Queens

Monday 31st December 2007/Tuesday 1^st January 2008 - New Year's Eve Party with Disco & Buffet, life back in NL1 begins!

Sunday 3^rd February – Dewsbury – Away – 3.00pm. Northern Rail Cup.
