Dwayne Barker signs

Featherstone Rovers are delighted to announce the signing of Dwayne Barker until the end of the present season. Dwayne, who started his career at Leeds Rhinos where he captained their academy team, was released earlier this month by Halifax R.L.F.C.

Rover's coach, Daryl Powell, said, "Dwayne's going to add in a big way to what we've got. He adds depth in the centre, which we haven't had all season, and he can also play at 13, 6 or in the second row, so he will give us cover in a number of positions. He's played at the top level and comes to us with something to prove after his disappointment at Halifax.

We want players who can add to the team for the rest of the season with potential to be a big part of our future."
